Richard and Carole Cocks Museum Folly Part 1-
To explore space, structure and spatial reasoning with drawings and diagrams to further our design exploration later on in the project. We drew and modeled ideas from the precedent of the Richard and Carole Cocks Art Museum and the land in which it sits. With this project we were supposed to work in pairs, and I worked along side Lia Pistole.

Folly Process
From the start of the project Lia and I wanted to incorporate light and how it interacts to make color, pine trees, like on the site, free forms and we wanted it to be interactive. For my first three models all of the shapes are more natural and are very entuned with nature. However after out first models were made Lia and I decided to continue developing the triangular water feature. We both felt as if this concept followed the precedented building. With this we made a triangular fountain with a pyramid like feature in the middle, and a slightly working water feature, which can be seen underneath the model. We chose a triangle shape to follow the museums triangular pattern and it fits in to a nook of the building that views a church from its window, and we wanted our model to follow this line of sight outside of the building. the fountain looks to the church with seating along the rim.
